The use of texture, attention to detail, and shape. Some of the images have a slightly slanted or of centre composition, I guess this is because it helps to give the viewer a sense of unease like something has happened or going to happen. Shadows can be deceiving, appearing bigger than normal size, or looking like something its not, for example the bottom middle image, they have been sculpted to look like two dead heads with a black bird on top, where in fact it is just material to look like a human head. It plays tricks on the viewer making it more scary and misleading.
The use of black and white, the slanted composition, and how the figure can portrayed is interesting and influential for my own piece.
